Elin Kåven is a sami singer and joiker, and Jungle Svonni works with shamanic teachings. We decided to create this blog to answer questions we get about the Sami people – or anything actually!

ELIN KÅVEN
Elin Kåven is a Sami singer, songwriter and dancer from Karasjok, northern – Norway. She has released three soloalbums the last ten years in her own genre described as a “Arctic Folk Pop”. She has toured in twelve different countries and has been the finalist in several music competitions and been nominated/won music awards. She has a special fascination for mythology and nature creates and has got the name “The Arctic Fairy” from her audience.

JUNGLE SVONNI
Jungle Svonni, Sami from Talma reindeerheardingdistrict, works with shamanic teachings at “Northern lights Shamanic Centre”. He grew up involved with reindeer hearding and as a hunter. Since childhood he knew he would become a shaman. After studying shamanism in the Amazonas five years, he worked as a shaman two years before he returned back to Sápmi.
